The Northern Region of Malaysia, Penang, has welcomed the presence of IET On Campus with its official launching in USM Engineering Campus on the 6th of July, 2017. 

On that very day itself, the special launch event observed the attendance of Professor Mohd Fadzil Ain, Deputy Dean from School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, USM Engineering Campus, as well as Mr Lim Yew Kee, an IET Council Member.

The birth of IET-USM On Campus is founded by Dr Teh Jiashen, now our very own advisor of the club. And along with him, a group of USM’s students IET members came together to manage the club. 

Staying true to its  objectives, IET-USM On Campus aims to provide USM students a medium to expose themselves to networking and professional opportunities. Alongside that, IET-USM On Campus also provide a suitable platform by hosting activities with an aim to widespread the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education especially to primary and secondary school students, following the urges by IET. 

In the future, IET-USM On Campus looks forward to expanding its network in the Northern Region through more exciting and fun activities, as well as visit programmes.
